Most coaches can get you to lose weight. Weight loss is pretty easy, to be honest. And over the last 15 years, I’ve helped thousands of women lose weight (you can scroll my Instagram waaaayyy back to find literally thousands of success stories)
But you know what’s harder? Changing someone’s behaviour, long term.
You know what’s harder still? Helping someone find peace within themselves.
That’s where I find fulfilment with my work, now. Helping people heal their relationship with food, with their bodies, with exercise and, most importantly, with themselves (you can go to ‘Success Stories’ to see how I’ve helped client’s achieve this.)
The photo above was a message sent to me by my client. Her reaching the point of FINALLY feeling happy in herself wasn’t a result of weight loss.
It’s a result of working with her on implementing a healthful approach to food and exercise (without restriction or guilt!), actively working on improving her body image and relationship with food, cultivating self compassion and quietening that negative inner critic and boosting her self esteem with boundary setting (herself and others) and acts of self care (rather than self loathing.)
I’m here for the person who’s got to a point where they realise they have to go deeper than another diet or exercise plan. Where they’re willing to put the extra work in, to do the ‘inner’ work.
This isn’t to say you can’t or shouldn’t diet, as for some clients, this will be the healthiest thing for them to do. But the kind of client I’m here for is after more than a before and after.
And side note; healing someone’s relationship with food, exercise and themselves, often leads someone to their most confident, comfortable and healthful aesthetic, naturally. Without actively trying to lose weight.
